CONCLAVE
A Journal of
Character
How do you define a
strong photograph of character?
"Photography of character
strikes the viewer with an immediate sense of familiarity
with the subject. Though I may never have seen 'this'
character before, something sparks a sense of shared
experiences. Character photography, alternatively, relays
the relationship between the subject and his/her
environment in the photograph. It should be clear to me how
the subject is engaged with his/her surroundings."
