Conclave Open for Submissions

We are now once again open to submissions. Take a look at the guidelines and then send us your best character-driven writing and photography; we’d love to see it.

If you plan to submit, we strongly recommend that you
purchase a copy of the inaugural issue of Conclave: A Journal of Character to get an idea of what we’re looking for. At the very least, you should check out the online content.

We’re ready to meet your most authentic and unforgettable characters.

Conclave Adds Writer Podcasts

Conclave has added podcasts of contributors and performers reading their work in the new Multimedia section of the Conclave website.

The recordings were originally part of the Fall 2008 Around the Coyote Festival in Chicago. Several of the pieces from Conclave’s inaugural issue were recorded by writers or performers and played in the festival hall to complement the visual arts being displayed.

More podcasts will be uploaded to the site soon.
